Field app
In the field you need big buttons and zero friction. The field app is a PWA: it installs from the browser, no store, and carries your organization's logo and name.
Installing it
- Android (Chrome/Edge): open the panel, tap the "Install the app" button at the bottom left (or the browser prompt) and confirm.
- iPhone/iPad: Safari shows no automatic prompt — tap Share (the square with the arrow) → "Add to Home Screen". The "Install the app" button walks you through these steps.
- Desktop: Chrome and Edge show the install icon in the address bar; Safari on macOS uses File → Add to Dock. Some browsers (e.g. Vivaldi, Firefox) don't support installation: the app still works from the browser.
The installed icon is your organization's (from profile → brand). The bodycam page and the event page are installable with the operator's brand too.
Your day in your pocket
The field app home shows today's missions with the weather traffic-light, the operation order (ODO) and the drones at a glance. From there:
- Thumb-friendly checklists: the three phases tick off with big buttons, with the auto-checks already filled in; the post-flight signature triggers the consequences (batteries to charge, anomaly → maintenance or incident).
- Go live: the bodycam channel starts in two taps — or by scanning the QR shown in the room.
- Batteries: log charge start and end with one tap; cycles count themselves.
- Equipment: take custody and return it on the spot — you always know who has what.
Push notifications
The app (and the panel) can receive push notifications: a channel going live, a reply to a ticket, upcoming expiries, operational alerts. You enable them with the 🔔 button on first access; the permission is requested by the browser and you can revoke it whenever you want.
Offline and connectivity
The field pages are light and hold up on slow networks; broadcasting, of course, needs a data connection. If the network drops during a live, the bodycam reconnects by itself as soon as the signal returns.
