Joint operations

Opening an operation

From ULTRA room → Joint operations the lead creates the operation: a telling name — “Concert in the square”, “Missing person search on Monte Nieddu” — and a time window: from when to when the joint room exists. Times are in the lead's timezone, and the window column says so.

Participants come in in two ways: through the organisation-code invitation — each one confirming with Join — or in one gesture with Activate my structure, for the organisations that are already in the linked structure. Whoever joins chooses what to make available for that operation.

During the window

While the operation is open, the participants' channels that go live enter the lead's room by themselves, next to its own: nobody has to “hand over the keys”, no operator types anything in the field. Every tile carries the organisation's tag in plain sight, and the EOC room banner at the top of the room says how many organisations have joined and when the window closes.

The activation chain

Before the room there is the call: the Mayor — or whoever acts for them — must activate the associations that own the light towers and the pumps, and today that call is a phone call without a trace. From the room, the Activation chain section turns it into a documented act.

You pick the recipients — from the linked structures, already listed, or by hand with a name and phone number — and send. Each call travels through two doors: an SMS to the contact person with a link opening a confirmation page without login and without any app («Activation received!», or «not available» with a mandatory reason — the room must know at once who it cannot count on, and why); and, for associations already on Dronetrake, the bell in their panel with the confirmation button. The first answer stands: second thoughts do not rewrite history.

In the room the board says it all, with times: sent, delivered (the page was opened), confirmed or declined with its reason. If an SMS fails to leave, the board says so instead of staying silent, and next to it sits the WhatsApp fallback with the message already written. Everything — sends, deliveries, answers — enters the folder journal: after a rough night, «who was activated, when, and what did they answer» has a documentary answer, not a remembered one.

Closing

When the window ends, sharing closes by itself: the participants' channels leave the lead's room even if they are still streaming — they simply go on existing in the rooms of their own organisations. An operation can also be closed early, by the lead.
