The sources, country by country: UAS zones in Europe

This page is the register behind the survey “A common unique digital format”. Every classification we publish about a country has its row here: the link to the source, the date we read it and the sentence that decides it, copied word for word in the original language. What has no link here, we do not write.

How we read a country

For each country, in its own language:

1. the page that offers the file and the file itself, with its metadata;
2. the reuse rules of the body that publishes it, usually in the transparency or open data section;
3. the national law on reuse of public data, which transposes Directive (EU) 2019/1024, and the national open data portal;
4. the AIP and the acts that establish the zones: aeronautical notices, decrees, regulations.

What classifies is what is written where the data is. The general terms of another website of the same body are reported separately, and do not decide. A page that cannot be read is marked as not reachable, with the exact error, and not as silence.

Every page cited is archived in the copy we read, with its SHA-256 fingerprint. If a source changes, the row changes, and we say so.

The classes

When the AIP or an official act declares the file publicly available, and where the file is there is no condition, the country goes onto the Dronetrake map citing the source, like Finland. A country that prohibits, or where two sources contradict each other, stays out until the authority replies.

Some countries stay out because a decisive document cannot be read, or because we are waiting for the authority's written reply:

• Lithuania: section ENR 5.3 of the AIP, which the authority names as the place that says where and how the data is public, cannot be read from outside.
• Malta: the Transport Malta pages on the zones cannot be read from outside.
• Croatia: the AIP is behind a registration.
• Cyprus, Estonia and the other authorities we have written to: we are waiting for a written reply.

As soon as we have the text, the country's row changes, and we say so.

PT — Portugal

• Class: DECLARED PURPOSE (no conditions on dnt.anac.pt; the ANAC page that links to the file intends it for operators)

BG — Bulgaria
